A great physical experience for supporting early walkers, or for active toddlers to have fun stomping through the paint! This also encourages an interest in the effects of their movements on the marks made, which is an essential part of the writing process.
Place some newspaper on the floor, securing it with masking tape. Put paint on your child’s feet (or you could have a splodge of paint for them to walk into) Support your child as necessary, walking holding hands, or encouraging them to jump, march, stomp and enjoy the experience!
This will get a little messy, so it is advised for your child to enjoy this in just a nappy, and on a floor surface that can be easily cleaned (better yet, if you have access to outside space, this is a great one for a warm day!)
