Why N Cambridge?

We couldn’t be more excited about our new N Family Club nursery in central Cambridge, surrounded by parkland and only a six-minute cycle ride to the station. Our purpose-built modern space is filled with natural light and clean air, thanks to our hi-spec air filtration system. The nursery also features a large garden with a sandpit, mud kitchen and water-play area.

Rethinking Early Years Education

Here at N, we’re on a mission to Rethink Early Years, offering a fresh educational outlook to prepare children for life in the modern world. Working with leading early years experts, we’ve blended our own unique curriculum, taking influence from a variety of learning philosophies including Reggio Emilia, Bruner, Forest School and Montessori. We were recently named the UK’s highest quality nursery group and we believe that our bespoke approach, combined with the learning outlined by the EYFS, supports all of our children to play and explore, be active learners and critical thinkers.

Our bespoke curriculum is split into four key pillars of learning:

Holistic health

Self expression

Global responsibility

Inventive ideas

The N Day

Drop off

We recognise that mornings can be a challenge, and we’re committed to doing everything we can to ensure a positive and warm start to the day.

Child-led play

Children are able to freely play with our many resources including our art studio, dress-up stations and the
N library.

Mealtimes

All N meals are prepared from scratch by our in-house chefs. We have family mealtimes where the children eat as a group with their key educators.

Educator-led learning

Every day our educators will lead a small group or individual sessions covering a wide range of topics, including yoga and cooking.

Outdoor learning

Our gardens provide the perfect backdrop for physical activities such as climbing, ball games and obstacle courses, as well as Forest School-inspired learning, planting and water play.

Sleep and rest

Our nursery rooms are designed to convert into cosy sleeping spaces, while children who no longer require a sleep can still relax in our designed ‘hygge’ corners.

Pick up

At home time, parents are encouraged to come in and chat with the educators and hear all about their child’s day and accomplishments.

Menu

We’ve worked with the former Head of Nutrition at Jamie Oliver, Laura Matthews, to make sure that we deliver a balanced menu that supports every child’s developmental needs. Our chefs prepare fresh meals in our cafe kitchen, everyday.

The N Cambridge Management Team

Clare

Nursery Manager

Clare has been in early years education for over 20 years, having managed 2 university nurseries and maintaining their Ofsted Outstanding status throughout her time there. She wants to ensure that N Cambridge feels like a home away from home - where families feel supported, welcome and listened to. She’s a mum of 3 children who keep her busy outside of nursery life, and loves to spend time in Cornwall on family holidays.

Jenny

Deputy Manager

Jenny is a passionate early years education professional with 20 years of experience. She has worked her way up from Qualified Nursery Practitioner to Deputy Manager over the past 8 years, and has a Foundation Degree in Early Years. She is excited to join the launch of the new N Cambridge Nursery and be part of the N Family Club.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, fitness, running, and road cycling. She lives with her partner in a village near Cambridge.
