Rethinking Early Years Education

Here at N, we’re on a mission to rethink early years, offering a fresh educational outlook to prepare children for life in the modern world. Working with leading early years experts, we’ve blended our own unique curriculum, taking influence from a variety of learning philosophies including Reggio Emilia, Bruner, Forest School and Montessori. We believe that our bespoke approach, combined with the learning outlined by the EYFS, supports all of our children to play and explore, be active learners and critical thinkers.

Our bespoke curriculum is split into four key pillars of learning:

Holistic health

Self expression

Global responsibility

Inventive ideas

The N Day

Drop off

We recognise that mornings can be a challenge, and we’re committed to doing everything we can to ensure a positive and warm start to the day.

Child-led play

Children are able to freely play with our many resources including our art studio, dress-up stations and the
N library.

Mealtimes

All N meals are prepared from scratch by our in-house chefs. We have family mealtimes where the children eat as a group with their key educators.

Educator-led learning

Every day our educators will lead a small group or individual sessions covering a wide range of topics, including yoga and cooking.

Outdoor learning

Our gardens provide the perfect backdrop for physical activities such as climbing, ball games and obstacle courses, as well as Forest School-inspired learning, planting and water play.

Sleep and rest

Our nursery rooms are designed to convert into cosy sleeping spaces, while children who no longer require a sleep can still relax in our designed ‘hygge’ corners.

Pick up

At home time, parents are encouraged to come in and chat with the educators and hear all about their child’s day and accomplishments.

Menu

We’ve worked with experts to make sure that we deliver a balanced menu that supports every child’s developmental needs. Our chefs prepare fresh meals in our cafe kitchen, everyday.

Fees

Under 3 years £113 per standard day
3 years + £103 per standard day

Fees include all meals, snacks, formula for infants, nappies, and trips.

Minimum attendance is 3 full days, including a Monday or Friday. All conditions are subject to availability.

Making payments

Fees are due in advance, and we issue invoices mid-month for the following month. Unfortunately there can be no refunds for sickness or holidays. Any fee increases will be communicated 2 months before affecting your invoice and are based on the nursery’s running costs.

Flexibility

You can extend the standard day (8-6pm) by up to an hour each way at the same hourly rate on a pay as you go basis - i.e. £11.30/hr for under 3s or £10.30/hr for 3 years+; equivalent to £2.83/15mins or £2.58/15mins.

Joining fees

To join the waiting list at N, parents are required to pay a waiting list registration fee of £300.

On accepting a place, this fee will become a non-refundable joining fee, and you’ll be asked to pay a £400 place acceptance fee, which will be deducted from your final invoice.

Whilst the Government funding is structured for 38 weeks of the year (term time), our places are for 51 weeks of the year and so the funded hours are stretched over the 51 weeks that we’re open. Applied over 51 weeks, the funding equates to 11.18 hours per week. The same principle applies for the 30 hour funding.

Parents can assess their eligibility for funding and the application process by visiting the Government Childcare Choices website.
For more information about available funding, please go to our Funding and bursaries page.
