Why N Beckenham?
Situated in an imposing detached Victorian villa on Dunbar Avenue, the former school is once again playing host to young children. Set back from the main road with original columns and stone lions adorning the entrance, our nursery has plentiful car parking via the carriage driveway and is an 11-minute walk from Elmers End train station – making drop-offs and pick-ups a breeze!
Seven large playrooms across three floors, all featuring natural light via original sash windows and rooflights, can be found off the impressive winding staircase, while an atelier in the eaves will play host to our range of N Extras. Outside, at the rear of the nursery, there is an enclosed garden complete with a designated messy play zone and independent baby area for our program of outdoor learning – a core part of the N Curriculum.
We’re all about making things easier for our families, and the generous buggy, bike, and scooter stores mean you can head off hands-free. Even better, our welcoming N café will serve (much-needed!) coffee and snacks, meaning you’ll be set up for the day in just the right way!

Rethinking Early Years Education
Here at N, we’re on a mission to rethink early years, offering a fresh educational outlook to prepare children for life in the modern world. Working with leading early years experts, we’ve blended our own unique curriculum, taking influence from a variety of learning philosophies including Reggio Emilia and Bruner. We were recently named the UK’s highest quality nursery group and we believe that our bespoke approach, combined with the learning outlined by the EYFS, supports all of our children to play and explore, be active learners and critical thinkers.

Whilst the Government funding is structured for 38 weeks of the year (term time), our places are for 51 weeks of the year and so the funded hours are stretched over the 51 weeks that we’re open. Applied over 51 weeks, the funding equates to 11.18 hours per week. The same principle applies for the 30 hour funding.
