A family club

Welcome to N Family Club nurseries & preschool

We believe nurseries are more important than ever before. As well as being crucial years for your child’s development and preparation for life in the modern world, it’s also the place for families to come together.

We’ve gone to great lengths to create an inspiring environment that ensures the best possible start for your children, and feels like a home-from-home for our families and team.

Working with leading experts, we’ve created a progressive learning programme that is unique to N, and entirely bespoke to each child. Our outstanding early years Educators build on each child’s individual strengths and passions, encouraging them to grow at their own pace.

Heat rash in toddlers: how to spot it and settle it fast

Tiny bumps after a hot night can look alarming. Heat rash in toddlers usually does no harm and clears within days. Cool your child gently and avoid products that trap more heat. Key takeaways

Children's water safety: staying safe in and around water this summer

Warmer days mean paddling pools in the garden, splashing at the beach and trips to the local pool. Water play is one of summer's simple joys, and with a few simple habits, families can keep it that way.

Children's summer activities: a guide for family fun

Summer brings longer days, lighter evenings and more chances for children to explore, play and learn. For families wondering, “What can we do today?” the answer does not need to be complicated or far from home. Some of the best children’s summer activities happen in the garden, at the park, around the kitchen table or during a slow walk in the sunshine. Key takeaways

Healthy feet, happy steps: A guide to early childhood foot health

Feet are the foundation of everything. The way a child's feet develop affects how they walk, stand, posture, and even their confidence. In the first five years of life, feet grow faster than at any other stage. Because the bones are still soft and forming, they are much more susceptible to being shaped by whatever is on them. Young children cannot reliably tell us when something hurts or feels wrong. They will often just adapt, and that adaptation can become a lasting habit. By the time problems become visible, they can already be well established. The good news is that with the right shoes and regular checks, most of this is entirely preventable.

Why inclusion matters: celebrating Pride Month in early years education

Our commitment at N to preparing children for life in the modern world means creating an environment that is open-minded, welcoming, and entirely unprejudiced. Every June, the UK comes alive with the colours of Pride Month - a time to celebrate inclusivity, diversity and the LGBTQ+ community. For the N Family, Pride Month is a natural extension of our progressive learning programme. It offers an opportunity to talk about acceptance, explore the history of equality, and reinforce the inclusive values we teach the children every single day.

How to encourage children to eat more vegetables (and enjoy them too!)

Many families know the scene well: cucumber is loved on Monday, rejected by Wednesday, and anything green is suddenly treated with deep suspicion. For National Eat Your Veg Day on 17th June, we are sharing practical ideas for how to get your child to eat more vegetables without pressure, bribery or mealtime battles. The aim is not a perfect plate. It is to build confidence, curiosity and familiarity, one small taste at a time.

Screen time and development in children: What families need to know

In recent years, young children have been more exposed to phones, tablets, TVs, and other screens. Screen use by families can feel completely normal now, and almost part of everyday life, but what is the real impact on children’s development? How much screen time is actually appropriate, and how do the habits of parents and family members influence children’s behaviour and learning? What might all this mean for their social, emotional, and cognitive growth?

The benefits of technology in early years

While it’s true that too much screen time isn’t ideal, technology can be a really helpful tool for learning and development in young children. There are lots of ways it can support curiosity, exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. Of course, not all technology used in the early years is the same, so it’s worth being thoughtful about which tools you choose and how they fit into your child’s day. But when used well, it can make learning fun and engaging, and benefit children in many ways.

Teaching children where food comes from: Seasonal eating and low-waste habits

For many young children, food simply appears on the table in front of them. Apples come neatly packaged, milk arrives in cartons, and bread is sliced and ready to eat. While this convenience is part of modern life, it can make it difficult for children to understand how food actually reaches their plate. Helping children learn where food comes from creates an opportunity to build a deeper appreciation for food and the environment. When they begin to understand how ingredients grow, how farms operate, and how food travels from fields to kitchens, everyday meals become moments of discovery.

  • People: We were recognised again as a Great Place to Work®, with 80% of our team confirming that N is a great place to work.
  • Planet: We achieved 100% renewable electricity across our nurseries and reached 39 Green Flags through the Eco-Schools programme.
  • Positive futures: We donated over £50,000 to War Child UK and 23,000 nappies to baby banks, while our fully funded bursary places continue to help children access high-quality early years education.
  • B Corp certification: We recertified as a B Corp in 2025 with a score of 101, further cementing our commitment to building a better, fairer world for future generations.
