Weekend baking idea… a favourite sweet treat from our N kitchen to yours. This apple and date loaf provides the perfect slice (or two) for afternoon tea with the whole family!
300g of pureed apples or apple sauce
250g pitted medjool dates, chopped
1 tsp vanilla extract
300g self raising flour
300g oats
1/2 tsp baking powder
Greek yoghurt to serve
Set the oven to 180C. Soak the dates in hot water for 5 minutes. Tip into a bowl with the apple puree. Add the other ingredients to create a thick batter.
Pour into a lined loafand cook for 45 mins or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the loaf.
Allow to cool slightly before serving with the yoghurt.
