This dough will not only provide a wonderful sensory experience for your child, which will encourage language and exploration, but also is a great fine motor activity.
The mixing and creation of the dough is all part of the fun and a great learning opportunity for your child. You can make as much dough as you like, using a ratio of one part conditioner to two parts cornflour.
Your child will want to get their hands in and feel the different ingredients and then have a go mixing them together and observing the transformation, so prepare in an area that can get a little messy.
Enjoy mixing and seeing the changes that happen. Once complete, the dough can now be enjoyed for hours on end, moulding, poking, patting, rolling and squishing - a great work out for little hands and fingers! It’s much softer and fluffier than traditional playdough, offering a different sensory experience.
If stored in an airtight container the dough should be good to go for several play sessions, so you can revisit this throughout the week.
