Celebrating diversity, race, inclusion and belonging in children’s books and TV

Join Laura Henry-Allain MBE for an expert introduction on how to educate and celebrate diversity with your children. Laura is vice-president of the British Association for Early Childhood Education and creator of the popular Jo Jo and Gran Gran series. She’ll talk about how to talk to your children about what they watch and read, and what to look for (and avoid) in books and TV shows. 

Laura will offer suggestions about how to use stories and shows to have conversations about your children’s real-life experiences and share her insight from over 30 years as an Early Years specialist.
