Read moreWeekend baking idea… a favourite sweet treat from our N kitchen to yours. This apple and date loaf provides the perfect slice (or two) for afternoon tea with the whole family!
Ingredients:
300g of pureed apples or apple sauce
250g pitted medjool dates, chopped
1 tsp vanilla extract
300g self raising flour
300g oats
1/2 tsp baking powder
Greek yoghurt to serve
Directions:
Set the oven to 180C. Soak the dates in hot water for 5 minutes. Tip into a bowl with the apple puree. Add the other ingredients to create a thick batter. Pour into a lined loafand cook for 45 mins or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the loaf.
Allow to cool slightly before serving with the yoghurt.
