Songs such as ‘If you’re happy and you know it’ are a great way to introduce new actions to song times for children. Following actions with a song is a key part of language development and will help introduce new vocabulary to your child. It’s also lots of fun and a great way to get some wiggles out if they’re feeling full of energy!
Introduce the song with the traditional verse:

Before changing the action to stamp your feet/shout hooray/wave hello/blow a kiss/pat your head- and any other actions you can think of!
