I’m a little teapot

What you need

Your lovely voice, an open space to move around.

Benefits

By offering an early introduction to music and dance, children develop their fine and gross motor skills. Action songs support children in following instructions, enhance their comprehension and vocabulary acquisition, and allow self-expression while boosting self-confidence.

The experience

‘My little teapot’ is a popular nursery rhyme that everyone loves dancing and singing along to. As the song/video plays, encourage your child to copy the moves along with Katy and Paige, and of course to sing using their beautiful voices!

Movements:

  • Place one hand on your hip to make the handle.
  • Hold up the opposite hand and arm to form a spout.
  • Tip to the side in the direction of the handle.

Lyrics:

I’m a little teapot, Short and stout
Here is my handle, Here is my spout
When I get all steamed up, Hear me shout
Just tip me over, And pour me out!

Have fun!
