Waffles with fresh strawberries and crème fraiche





This recipe is always greeted with smiles from our children (and team!). A wonderful treat the whole family can enjoy, waffles with fresh strawberries and crème fraiche.

Strawberries, thinly sliced
300g creme fraiche or vegan yogurt
Vanilla extract to taste

Waffle mixture
160g self raising flour(Gluten free works too)
1.5 tsps baking powder
240 litres plant-based milk
2.5 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
Cinnamon to taste

Divide creme fraiche and strawberries into separate dishes.

Combine waffle mixture to a smooth batter.
Heat waffle iron and lightly grease and cook off waffle mixture for 2-3 minutes before cutting into strips.

Layer on creme fraiche and strawberries and serve.
