Cut the apple into different cubes and start connecting them to the toothpicks with your child, being mindful of the sharp endings of the toothpicks.
Start with 4 cubes, working with your child to connect all the cubes together with the toothpicks. What shapes can you make? Can you make a square, a rectangle, a triangle? What about 3D shapes, like a cube or a pyramid? Once you’ve tried out a few shapes, you could see if you could build a tall tower!
