Read moreFine motor skills and hand-eye coordination will be developed during the peg box activity. This experience will also help to develop your child’s focus and attention as they become absorbed in moving and placing the pegs.
Set up the peg box – ideally a small box with an open top.
Place some of the clothes pegs around the edges of the top of the box so your child will have to pinch them to release them and then place them elsewhere.
You may like to also leave some pegs in the bottom of the box to encourage them to explore these and work out how to use them, and where they can place them.
