What you need

Newspaper & tape.

Benefits

This activity helps to boost creativity and develop both fine and gross motor skills.

The experience

Collect a selection of newspapers. Flatten the newspaper out and roll it up from the longest side. Secure with tape. Repeat until you have enough rolls. Now, you can get creative and build sculptures out of the rolls. This activity can be enjoyed both indoors or outdoors. Add cardboard boxes and other materials to the fun. You could even decorate your sculpture.

Challenge your child – who can make the tallest tower? Encourage your child to talk and describe what they’re making.
