DIY musical washing line

What you need

• String/ribbon Pots and plans
• Plastic bottles filled with rice/lentils/dried pasta Wooden spoon
• Metal spoon

This activity provides children with the opportunity to express themselves and learn about the different sounds that different materials make when struck.

The experience

Use the string or ribbon to create a ‘washing line’. Thread or tie on the materials listed above and give your child something to hit the materials with. This could be another metal or wooden spoon from the kitchen.
