Engagement in a story with the opportunity to join in with repeated refrains and anticipating key events and/or phrases.
Find a nice and cosy area in your home and listen to the famous story of the Gruffalo together. The Gruffalo talks about the little mouse who took a stroll through the deep dark wood. A fox saw the mouse and the mouse looked good. But the fox is the least of the quick-witted mouse’s problems. He’s about to come face-to-face with an owl, a snake and… Oh help! Oh no! A Gruffalo!
While watching the story video, why not look out for the animals in the story? You can also draw or paint your very own imaginary creature, how does it look like?
