The Tiger Who Came To Tea

What you need

The story of The Tiger Who Came To Tea by Judith Kerr.

Benefits

Reading and storytelling with your child promotes brain development and imagination, teaches your toddler about language and emotions, and strengthens your relationship with your child.

The experience

The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don’t expect to see at the door is a big furry, stripey tiger!

Sit back and watch Judith Kerr’s beloved story of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, read by Sophie.

Following the reading of the story, why don’t you try and imagine if a different animal came to tea. How would they behave?

Now try and create a shopping list showing all of the things that Sophie’s family needed to buy to replace the things that the tiger ate. How much would each item cost? Why not make a menu of tasty food that Sophie’s family can choose from at the cafe.

Enjoy!
